To the Editor:
Gaza has been a concentration camp for a minimum of 20 years. If the reader thinks the term “concentration camp” to describe Gaza is radical, please allow me point out that there are several high-ranking dignitaries who have made that announcement even before Gaza was “locked down” in 2006.
Pre-1967, United Nations Relief and Works Agency’s Administrative Controller, E.L.M. Berns stated that Gaza is “a vast concentration camp.” Israeli scholar and professor of sociology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Baruch Kimmerling, was a member of an Israeli scholars organization that questioned the official narrative of Israel’s creation. In 2002, he authored the book Politicide, where he described Gaza as, “the biggest concentration camp ever.” Lastly, in 2004, Giora Eiland, Israel’s far-right National Security Council Chief, simply described Gaza as a “a huge concentration camp.”
No thanks whatsoever to mainstream media, history will eventually reveal the true facts of the catastrophic inhumanity dealt to the Palestinian people by Israel. As well, it can be argued the United States has contributed to each and every death.
