Have some thoughts to share? How about writing a Community Voices article?

Salish Current, as a local nonprofit newsroom for Whatcom, Skagit and San Juan counties, invites organizations and community members to contribute short articles presenting ideas and thoughts that support a healthier and more vibrant community.

Community Voices articles should have clear points of view that welcome reader responses and run no more than 800 words. Thoughtfulness is key and humor is always appreciated. Articles need to be fact-based and avoid partisanship, product or service promotion, and personal attacks.

Each community essay represents the point of view of the writer. Publication by Salish Current does not represent endorsement.

If you wish to submit a Community Voices article, please contact Managing Editor Mike Sato to discuss your subject. Our editors will work with you on your submittal, if needed, for length, clarity and focus, and illustrations.
