Elise Cope, communications and outreach director at Friends of the San Juans, channels her passion for environmental stewardship and social equity into her work. With over 15 years of experience in Seattle’s nonprofit sector, she’s dedicated to bridging understanding between people and the planet. Elise’s global travels, by foot and boat, include sailing across the Indian Ocean and exploring the Salish Sea bio region. Based in Friday Harbor, she finds joy in connecting with fellow artists and exploring the Salish Sea with her two sons.
