Get ready to vote by Nov. 7: forums on candidates and ballot issues over the next several weeks will give voters an opportunity to see and hear first-hand, and information they need to make up their own minds. (Salish Current file photo)
First, some dates to keep in mind: The general election is Nov. 7. Ballots will be mailed out Oct. 20.
Next Wednesday, Sept. 27, the City Club of Bellingham at Noon holds its forum for candidates for Bellingham mayor and city council Ward 1, Ward 3 and at-large positions— and the Bellingham/Whatcom County League of Women Voters holds its forum at 7 p.m. for Whatcom County executive candidates, live in Whatcom County Council Chambers.
That’s just the beginning. Salish Current stands with the City Club and the three county League chapters in encouraging you to attend or Zoom these forum presentations: watch and listen, then judge and vote.
