I am giving my enthusiastic support to our county council candidate Katherine Bryant Ingman.
As a 35-year resident of the county and past planning commission chair, councilperson
and mayor for the Town of Friday Harbor, I see a rare opportunity in electing someone who has
shown dedication to issues faced by her community and has worked tirelessly to solve them.
I see Katherine’s age as an advantage over the status quo we have been offered by many of
our older candidates and electeds. She has shown creativity, enthusiasm and perseverance
toward her community on Lopez Island and is truly a candidate “of the people and for the
people.” The overwhelming support she received in the primary by her community on Lopez is
a testament to her integrity.
Please join me in supporting this bright and accomplished woman to help solve issues faced by
our community. I believe she will bring much needed insight and clarity to the county council at
a time when we need her the most.
