Have some thoughts to share? Here’s how:

Write a Community Voices essay.

Salish Current invites organizations and community members to engage in civil civic commentary via Community Voices essays. Essays should present clear points of view that welcome reader responses, and run no more than 800 words. Thoughtfulness is key; humor is always appreciated. Articles must be fact-based and avoid partisanship, product or service promotion, and personal attacks.

Contact Editor Sam Fletcher with your article proposal. Our editors will work with you on your submittal, if needed, for length, clarity, focus and illustrations. Essays represent the point of view of the writer. Publication by Salish Current does not represent endorsement.

Send a letter to the editor.

Letters to the editor should be submitted with the writer’s name, address and daytime phone number. Those accepted for publication will focus on issues addressed in news articles or commentaries in Salish Current and be factual. Snark, put-downs, and general nastiness will be rejected. Letters should not exceed 300 words and may be edited for length and clarity. Letters represent the point of view of the writer. Publication by Salish Current does not represent endorsement. Salish Current will publish letters sent to the editor at its sole discretion.

Submit letters and Community Voices proposals to News Editor Sam Fletcher at s.fletcher@salish-current.org.
